It All Started Out When She Needed To Feed Her Children

Samantha had two small children and worked part time in her grandmother's antique store. She and her husband Rob were living the American dream…a nice home in a good neighborhood. They also had three beautiful healthy children. Then in 2000 tragedy struck. Rob was killed in a car accident. He fell asleep at the wheel, ran off the road, down an embankment and hit a tree. He was dead when the police arrived.

Sam's world came crashing down around her feet. They had never gotten around to getting life or mortgage cancellation insurance. The funeral expenses wiped out what little savings they had. She couldn't afford to pay the mortgage on her house even if she got a full time job. She only had a high school education. So she had to sell the house and move in with her grandmother. She also went to work full time in her grandmother's antique store.

Grandma died peacefully in her sleep in 2002. She left both the house and the antique store to Sam. She kept the store open for a while but she wasn't making enough money to pay the entire store overhead, after school daycare and support her children. Added to that was the fact that without her grandmother around she didn't want to be at the store. She wanted to work from home so she could spend more time with her children.

Sam sold the antique shop and took the money she got and invested in inventory that she could store in her garage. Sam decided to sell her antiques through ebay. She put up a website that linked to the different auctions she was running on ebay. Currently she is making over six figures a year off her website and auctions.

Sam loves her new business. She can take the children to school each morning and pick them up every afternoon. The kids can go with her while she visits auctions and garage sales looking for inventory to sell on ebay. She spends a lot more time with the children than she could when she was working in the store 50 hours a week.

What started out as a way to keep food on the table turned into an ideal existence. She loves her new life because she can stay in the house her grandmother left her and spend as much time as she wants with the children while making a very comfortable living doing something she loves…selling antiques.
