Sales Copy

Writing sales copy for any product you want to sell online can be easy. Do you have a product you want to promote? You want to tell the world about it. What you don't want to do is make that sales letter too long. If your sales letter is too long, you are going to bore the reader. There are many sales copies that are getting longer and longer. If you run across one of these sites or sales letters, you can spot it a mile away. The longest sales letters are about eight to ten pages long, about 2000+ words or so. But in order to make a real splash, and to make a sale you want your sales copy to be short and sweet, to the point, and less than 500 words.

If your reader spends too much time reading your sales copy, reading all those testimonials, reading about all the free stuff they are going to get if they make that purchase from your site, they are going to feel you are just another knock off of another site. Too many sites are too long. Be creative and write copy that gets your point across. If the buyer is at your site, they are already interested in what you have. Telling too much, and being too pushy actually does turn off more buyers than you realize.

How can you write copy that is going to get noticed by the buyer coming to your site? Create an opening paragraph all about what you are selling. Create a short list of bullets, about the benefits, about any bonuses, and about anything, special you want to tell the potential buyer. Then include another paragraph about how your product is used, is useful or what other people are doing with your product. Then at the end two or three short testimonials, just one line each is plenty. Don't forget your buy now button or link and that is it! Readers and buyers online are interested in getting information fast, and without all the fluff. Create a copy that is as short as this article, and you will increase your sales numbers!
